So much thanks again for the continued support we've been receiving for the project, we really are proud to be working towards something we think will have a really positive impact for the people of Bromley. The press release is below :)
Bromley
Community Fund Awarded to the Royal Bell
Campaign
Bromley Council has provided almost £3, 000
to the Bromley Arts and Community Initiative (BACI) who are campaigning to bring
back to life the Grade II listed Royal Bell Hotel. This grant has been given as
part of the Council’s community fund which aims to assist in the development
and promotion of community initiatives within the Borough.
Bromley Town Councillor Cllr Nicky Dykes,
who supported the application commented:
“I was delighted to be able to support BACI
with their submission to the Community Fund.
This award demonstrates the Council’s support for the hard work by BACI
in making the prospect of a community hub at the Royal Bell a reality. The campaign is really beginning to gain
momentum and I look forward to supporting the initiative as it goes forward.”
Commenting on their successful bid Amanda Hone from BACI said:
"We are thrilled to have been
successful in our application to the Community Fund. BACI have really
appreciated the council's readiness to help wherever they can with our complex
project over the past year and this financial assistance will help us grow our
group, promote greater awareness of the project, enlist the help of
professionals and cover much needed administrative running costs. We are very
much looking forward to taking this exciting project onto its next stage"
